STALKER Gamma Mod Set is a Great Thing for Series Fans
G.A.M.M.A. project, a thorough improvement of the iconic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, is currently making waves in the STALKER fan community.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl won't be released for a while now. However, fans of the franchise can't complain about a lack of excitement, as new mods for the already released installments are still being created regularly. One of the hottest of them at the moment is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: G.A.M.M.A., a project designed for the fan-based project S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, which takes the form of a standalone free game. To use project G.A.M.M.A., you do not need to own any of the official installments of the series.
The purpose of the modification is to improve Anomaly and provide better balanced gameplay in terms of survival mechanics, including such elements as item gathering, crafting, cooking and equipment repair. The entire game was developed to emphasize careful and slow exploration, while maintaining high fluidity of gameplay.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: G.A.M.M.A. also offers an improved interface, introduces new sets of starting weapons, improves the radiation system and the balance of melee combat. It also thoroughly refreshes the economy, so that traders have a fairly modest inventory and the best goods are available only to trusted customers.
In fact G.A.M.M.A. is a set of more than two hundred of the best submods (i.e. add-ons ) for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly, collected in one package. An interesting approach was used here - those mods, which for various reasons could not be directly transferred to the package, are downloaded by the installer directly from other websites. This results in a slightly complicated installation process, but it is still incomparably easier than if we tried to download and apply all these submods manually. On top of that, in G.A.M.M.A. we can be sure that this ton of projects will work well together and no conflicts will arise. In addition, the authors have made numerous corrections to these add-ons and prepared quite a few of their own.
All in all, all this makes S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: G.A.M.M.A a prfected version of Anomaly. The combination of the two projects provides perhaps the best experience in terms of creating a great sandbox version of the Zone and should provide dozens if not hundreds of hours of fun for fans of the brand.
