STALKER 2 With One Million Copies Sold. „This is Just The Start of Our Unforgettable Adventure,” Says GSC Game World
STALKER 2's problems didn't prevent it from reaching many gamers. Less than two days after its release, it was announced that 1 million copies of the game had been sold.
Since the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl less than two days ago, developers GSC Game World have already announced its sales results. On the official Discord server developers reported that the game has reached one million buyers. However, they pointed out that significantly more people played the title, thanks to the Game Pass subscription.
No wonder it feels a bit crowdy in the Zone. A million copies were sold, and much more stalkers joined the artifact hunt with Game Pass.
This is just the start of our unforgettable adventure. The Heart of Chornobyl emanates stronger with each of us.
With gratitude as deep as the X-Labs network, we want to say: Thank You, stalkers!
So as you can see, the game's technical problems - such as poor optimization, errors, or a life simulation that didn't meet expectations - did not prevent it from achieving good sales. This shouldn't be surprising, however, because STALKER 2 was one of the most anticipated games of 2024, and what's more, players had been eagerly awaiting it for many years.
However, the most important thing is that those who bought the game are enjoying it, as shown by the "very positive" ratings on Steam and excellent activity results. We can only hope that GSC Game World will polish this diamond over time so that the game can last as long as possible. Fortunately, the modding community is also there to help in this matter.
