Specter Knight will be the protagonist of the next Shovel Knight campaign
Specter Knight will make a return in the third free campaign for Shovel Knight, an arcade platformer game by Yacht Club Games.
Yacht Club Games is working on the third free campaign for Shovel Knight—a two-dimensional arcade platformer game they released in 2014 after successfully gathering $311,502 from nearly 15 thousand people at Kickstarter. According to the announcement on YCG website, the said Update will feature Specter Knight, one of the original’s bosses, as the protagonist. While there is no solid information on the launch date, the developers say “it should arrive sooner than the wait between Shovel Knight and Plague Knight”.
Yacht Club is also working to deliver on the remaining Kickstarter promises. These include a King Knight campaign (which will launch after the Specter Knight one), Body Swap Mode (gender switching), and Battle Mode (a single-screen, multiple-controller multiplayer mode; not planned to arrive on handheld versions of the game for the moment). What’s more, all bosses will be playable in the latter of the two modes mentioned above, which is the reward of the last unlocked stretch goal. Body Swap Mode and Battle Mode are going to launch alongside each of the two upcoming campaigns.
