Space Marine 2 - Matchmaking not Working, This Bug Is a Real Problem
If you have issues with finding players in Space Marine 2, ironically, you are not the only one. There seems to be a matchmaking problem, and here you will learn more about it.
The practice of playing earlier for extra price seems to be here to stay. As it is acceptable when it comes to single player games, it can put players waiting for the official premiere date in multiplayer titles at a disadvantage. Even though Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is mostly singleplayer / co-op production, it still has PvP component. Yet even assuming that there are fans grinding multi, they don’t have an easy time due to (expected) server issues, long loading screens, lags, crashes, and even CPU overheating. Regardless of whether you would like to spar with others or cooperate with them, there is a new problem that can prevent you from doing so – matchmaking not working. Matchmaking not working in WH40k Space Marine 2
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is designed in cooperation in mind, yet nothing stands in the way of playing some parts of it solo (which doesn’t mean that you can be always completely offline). Getting paired up with other fans from all over the Internet seems to be problematic, though, as many players report that they are unable to find any human-cooperator to help. It appears that matchmaking is currently broken.
There are people who point out that disabling VPN or enabling crossplay can alleviate the problem, yet it doesn’t seem to be the case. There is also one claim in which the fan states that going back to main menu and clicking “continue” with returning to the hub fixes the matchmaking, yet there is no real confirmation that it works.
Supposedly, there was already a maintenance period, but it turns out that it bared no fruit. However, on the official Space Marine 2 Discord server, there is a confirmation that the creators are still working on improving the connectivity. Let’s hope that this time it will solve the issue.
