Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 delayed to April
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is coming out a couple of months later, on April 4. The delay has been explained by the developers wanting to properly optimize the game.
It appears that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will miss its winter release, as the launch date has been moved from January 27 to April 4, 2017. The reason for that decision is pretty straightforward – the developers at the Poland-based studio CI Games need more time to put some extra polish on their game, especially when it comes to performance optimization on all platforms (PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4). Incidentally, this delay puts Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 a bit farther off from its strongest rival, Rebellion’s Sniper Elite 4, which is due out on February 14, 2017.
This is the second time this next installment in the first-person shooter series is delayed. Initially, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 was to launch in the second quarter of this year, before it was unexpectedly pushed to late 2016. With the third part, CI Games wants to further expand the series’ mechanics and offer much more freedom than the previous two games. In addition to playing as a sharpshooter and stealthy assassin, you will be able to pick up an assault rifle and walk into action guns blazing.
