Skyrim Modders Never Run Out of Enthusiasm; Embark on a Grand Sea Adventure

The ambitious mod Tasheni's The Pride of Teia has been released, which adds to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition an archipelago of islands and a ship that we can use to travel between them.

The fan community of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition continues to impress with its diligence. The latest fruit of its labor has been the the release of the mod called Tasheni's The Pride of Teia, adding a completely new adventure.

The action takes place in a new region, covering six islands located somewhere between the Sea of Ghosts and the Eltheric Ocean. We can travel between them using our own ship, which also acts as a home for our hero. Interestingly, it is not only used for fast travel - we can steer it in real time. The project also offers two extensive dungeons and quite a few underwater locations.

The ship is used not only for travel. It also serves as a home for the hero.

Importantly, with the mod we can also use the ship for expeditions through the waters of the map from the basic version of Skyrim. However, the game was not designed with something like this in mind and this causes slight problems. There are scripts in the modification that recognize contact with land, but in order for the craft to move at all, the authors had to disable collision detection, so you can... sail through another ship.

The mod requires Skyrim Special Edition Script Extender to work. To install Tasheni's The Pride of Teia, download the archive with the modification and extract it to the "Data" folder, then activate the adventure in the game's launcher.

It is worth adding that a version of the modification for the original version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is also available, but it is at an earlier stage of development than the release for Special Edition.
