The upcoming game, which is the joint work of as many as four development teams (Genvid, Bad Robot Games, Behaviour Interactive and dj2 Entertainment), is presented in promotional materials as a hybrid between an adventure game and an interactive show.
The story will focus on a handful of people from different corners of the globe, who will be united by a common misery and a threat from mysterious, dark beings. As the latest trailer of the game suggests, the protagonists will have to face their deepest fears in order to save themselves and their loved ones.
The events themselves and the fate of the protagonists are expected to change dynamically under the influence of the actions and reactions of viewers. The title is advertised with the slogan:
"In Silent Hill: Ascension the actions of millions will determine the outcome. Which characters will remain alive until the final scene is aired?"
Fans of Silent Hill will probably also be pleased to know that Ascension will be an expansion of the themes known from the main installments of the series, while new clues, locations and characters are expected to add variety to the beloved universe.
