Shadowrun Returns creators announce BattleTech kickstarter date
Harebrained Scheme’s BattleTech is getting a Kickstarter campaign later this month. This new sci-fi RPG from Shadowrun Returns creators is coming to PC some time in 2017.
BattleTech, a new tactical RPG from Harebrained Scheme, is coming to Kickstarter September 29. The studio behind the last couple of Shadowrun roleplaying games (including Shadowrun Returns) will again try their luck in a crowdfunding campaign that is hoped to help them bring their next game out in the light. BattleTech will come out on PC some time in 2017.
This new project is a science-fiction turn-based RPG set in the universe of BattleTech wargaming franchise, which has already spawned some video games, including BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception by Westwood Associates. The game is said to feature expanded, open-structured story-driven campaign set in the year 3025. The project is overseen by Jordan Weisman, the creator of a successful MechWarrior series and the original BattleTech. More information will be revealed as the Kickstarter campaign launches later this month.
