SEGA Announced a Bunch of Games: Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Crazy Taxi and More
This year's The Game Awards brought a veritable flood of announcements from Sega. The Japanese publisher is working on new Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and Crazy Taxi, among others.
Sega has surprised and at this year's The Game Awards announced not one, but a whole lot of games. In doing so, it did so in a quite original style - instead of taking a significant part of the gala for itself, it decided to show the world their collective, action-packed trailer.
The Japanese publisher is launching the Next Level initiative, in which it intends to appeal to gamer nostalgia. From under its wings in the near or distant future will come out such games as: Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and Crazy Taxi. Not enough? It doesn't end there, because the list is crowned by the enigmatic statement "and more".
Based on the spectacular, albeit short trailer, it is difficult to judge what we will be dealing with. It can be assumed that we will see simply a continuation of well-known titles, but the devs may as well offer us reboots of individual series, as well as remakes of particular games. As it is not difficult to guess, the release dates of individual items are not yet known. We also do not know what platforms they will hit (although PCs and consoles are rather certain).
Players wishing to stay up to date can sign up for the newsletter available on the official website of the Next Level initiative.
