Second Season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Launches Today
The new season in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare starts today. We learned all about the new maps, modes, weapons and of course the content of the new season pass.
A few days ago we wrote about a leak of information about season 2 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Activision has risen to the challenge by preparing a lot of new content. At the time of release, 5 new maps will be added to the game and another one will join the pool during the season. Two maps will be available in basic multiplayer mode, two more in Gunfight and one in Ground War variant. After years of absence, Rust will return to the game, a veteran map first featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The start of the new season will take place today (February 11) on all hardware platforms simultaneously. The content will be added to the game gradually, as was the case with the previous season. In addition to the aforementioned maps, new modes, weapons and operators will be released. It is worth noting the Call of Duty League, where players will compete against each other on the same terms as in the Esports League. Grau 5.56 (Tier 15) assault rifle and Striker 45 (Tier 31) SMG will join the arsenal on the first day. Ghost, Talon and Mace will be the new operators.
Of course, the new season also involves a new season pass. The players who buy it will instantly get one operator, Simon "Ghost" Riley. They will also unlock various items with each level of the pass (there are 100 in total). The prize pool includes new weapon schemes, experience bonuses, cosmetic items and additional points.
Below we present Activision's trailer of the new season:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare continues to be one of the most popular games on the market. It launched on October 25 this year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. More information about season 2 can be found on Activision's blog.
