Saints Row and Forspoken DLC Coming Soon; Celebration of Failure Continues
This month will see the release of two expansions for not-so-warmly received games, Saints Row and Forspoken.
Do you remember Saints Row or Forspoken? If not, it's not surprising. Both games were met with mediocre reception at best (this is perfectly evident from the average player ratings on Metacritic, ranging from 1,5/10 to 3,6/10), and after an initial wave of interest, they were quickly forgotten. Interestingly, however, these titles have another thing in common - despite their failure, they are still being developed by their creators and will receive DLCs this month.
- Today, studio Volition informed, that on May 9 Saints Row will receive the story DLC Heist and the Hazardous. Interestingly, we do not know any details related to the expansion. All we know is that the titular "Saints" are to face a movie star. The release is also to be accompanied by a major update that will improve, among other things, the combat system.
- In May we will see the release of a DLC for Forspoken. It is titled In Tanta We Trust and constitutes a prequel. In it, Frey will move back 25 years to the time of a great battle that ravaged Athia. The expansion will debut on May 26. It is worth mentioning that, according to the original plans, this expansion was to be released only in the summer.
While, on the one hand, one may be surprised that both games are being developed, the releasing of DLCs is the responsibility of developers and publishers. Enhanced editions of these game were eventually to include post-release DLC after all.
