Ryzen 3000 series leak from Russia
A huge leak reveals the specs of new Ryzen 3000 series CPUs, an official presentation may take place during CES 2019.
For several months now, there has been increasing talk of the next generation of Ryzen CPU from AMD, based on the new Matisse platform, which is probably the code name of the AMD Zen 2 architecture produced in 7-nanometer technology.
According to the Russian price engine E-Katalog, the new CPU line will include seven new models - in addition to the well-known Ryzen 3, 5 and 7 families, the first CPU from the Ryzen 9 line will be available in stores, offering 16 cores supporting 32 threads. Ryzen 9 3800X will of course have a high power demand (TDP 125W), while its base clock will be rated at 3.9 GHz (4.7 GHz in Turbo mode).
Looking at the abilities of CPUs from weaker series, we are able to extract some interesting proposals. Noteworthy is Ryzen 7 3700X, which is able to reach 5 GHz in Boost mode without overclocking, and even the weakest CPU in the bunch, Ryzen 3 3300. is equipped with six cores. The full specs of the revealed models are as follows:
Model | Cores | Threads | Base clock rate (GHz) | Boost clock rate (GHz) | TDP (W) |
Ryzen 9 3800X | 16 | 32 | 3.9 | 4.7 | 125 |
Ryzen 7 3700X | 12 | 24 | 4.2 | 5 | 105 |
Ryzen 7 3700 | 12 | 24 | 3.8 | 4 | 95 |
Ryzen 5 3600X | 8 | 16 | 4 | 4.8 | 95 |
Ryzen 5 3600 | 8 | 16 | 3.6 | 4.4 | 65 |
Ryzen 3 3300X | 6 | 12 | 3.5 | 4.3 | 65 |
Ryzen 3 3300 | 6 | 12 | 3.2 | 4 | 50 |
It cannot be ruled out that the official presentation of the new AMD processors will take place in a few days, said Lisa Su, the company’s CEO, when announcing her speech at CES 2019, which begins next Monday. Ale we have left to do now is to wait for the final confirmation of what exactly the company has been working on for a long time now.
