Rumors of Yasuke's Removal from Assassin's Creed Shadows Debunked by Tom Henderson
A well-known insider briefly commented on the latest rumors about why Ubisoft delayed Assassin's Creed: Shadows.
No, Yasuke won't be removed from the delayed Assassin's Creed: Shadows. Tom Henderson from Insider-Gaming quickly debunked the rumors that appeared on the Internet.
The well-known informant didn't even consider it appropriate to dwell on this rumor. In response to a post by a certain X channel that retweeted this "leak," Henderson simply said, "It's not true."
In fact, there was no need for such confirmation, as few people believed in that "info" (with some exceptions, of course; after all, it's the Internet).
Even if it concerned a minor character appearing in a single act, there would be no possibility of removing her/him from the game, which was set to launch shortly after being postponed by only a few months. Changing one of the two main characters in the new installment of the Assassin's Creed series would require developing it from scratch: re-writing the script, recording dialogue lines, and creating a new main character to pair with Naoe (because the "duality" of the characters was emphasized even after the delay of AC: Shadows).
Let's not even talk about whether such a move makes sense from a financial perspective (and this is a very important issue for Ubisoft right now). Of course, it is technically possible, but substantial evidence and arguments would be required to entertain the possibility, let alone the probability, even for a moment.
Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on February 14, 2024, on PC, XSX/S, and PS5.
