Rumor: Telltale Games Works on Tales from the Borderlands 2 and Poker Night 3
According to the latest reports, Telltale Games is working on two unannounced titles. The first is the continuation of Tales from the Borderlands, and the second is Poker Night 3, which is to be announced during E3 2020.
The story of Telltale Games could easily be published as a book or a movie. Let us remind that in September 2018 the studio was to close. Former employees even filed a class action suit against the company. Later on, the studio's games were gradually pulled from sales. Finally, in August last year Telltale Games was resurrected and the world learned that there is a good chance for new installments of popular series. As sequel to The Wolf Among Us is in production, among other titles. A visually improved version of Batman: The Telltale Series has also been released.
There is also a chance that two more titles are being worked on in the nooks and crannies of the studio. Such revelations were revealed by Reddit user heitismydude. The same user had earlier suggested an imminent announcement of the new adventures of the "bad wolf" and the "man-bat", which was later fully confirmed. Of course, as usual with leaks, we recommend that you approach them with caution. The news is that Telltale (in cooperation with the team at AdHoc) is working on Tales from the Borderlands 2 and Poker Night 3.
The author of the reports also reveals that the work on The Wolf Among Us 2 has been temporarily halted, although the team has the assets, basic mechanics and locations ready. However, the creators are waiting for the story that AdHoc is about to deliver. In the meantime, they are working on Poker Night 3, to be announced for E3 2020 and released a few days later. At the same time, the studio plans to announce recovery of rights to the Tales of the Borderlands franchise.
Poker Nights 3 is to feature famous characters from studio's games, such as Bruce Wayne, Bigby Wolf and Lee Everett. The title is to use the Unreal Engine. Interestingly enough, the Reddit user indicates that although he uses the name Poker Night 3, the game's actual title will be different. And that's it. How many of these reports turn out to be true, we will probably find out in the next few months.
