RTX 3090 Ti Will Require Powerful Cooling
Nvidia GeForce 3090 Ti will be the most powerful GPU on the market. At the same time, it is supposed to be one of the largest chips. This is evidenced by photos recently made available on the web.
Even Nvidia describes the card as a Big Ferocious GPU. In addition to on what we saw (via Tom's Hardware), we can predict that the announced chip will be huge, and all reference models of GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will take up a lot of space.
They will also be quite power hungry due to the high performance they offer. This also means that they will require some beefy cooling systems. In the photos of GeForce RTX 3090 Ti models from some manufacturers we see variants with three fans, occupying as much as 3.5 slots.
VideoCardz presented models from EVGA and Colorful. GeForce RTX 3090 Ti from the first manufacturer is distinguished by three fans, LED panel and black casing. Under it there is a heatsink, which will take up a lot of space as well.
As many as three upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti cards from Colorful have been leaked online. We are talking about the BattleAx Deluxe, iGame Vulcan and iGame Neptune models. Same as with the chip from EVGA, they will take up a fair amount of space. The exception is the liquid-cooled iGame Neptune OC variant, which will only take up two slots.
What will the RTX 3090 Ti offer?
The still unrevealed RTX 3090 Ti GPU is expected to have the following specs:
- Base clock: 1560 MHz
- Turbo clock: 1860 MHz
- CUDA units: 10,752
- RT Cores: 84
- TDP: 450 W
Note, however, that the above specs are unofficial. Nvidia has not yet revealed the release date for the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, but it is reportedly scheduled for tomorrow. So perhaps the company will decide to present more information about this GPU soon.
