Broken Arrow, RTS About Modern Warfare, Won’t Be Released This Year, But Will Offer Open Multiplayer Beta as Consolation
The Steel Balalaika team has announced that the release of Broken Arrow has been postponed until next year. As a consolation, we will receive open tests.
We have some bad news for those waiting for Broken Arrow, the war RTS developed by Steel Balalaika. The creators have just announced that the game will be delayed significantly - premiere of Broken Arrow has been postponed to 2025. Initially, the game's debut was planned for this year.
- The reasons for the delay are classic - the creators simply need more time to properly refine the game. During earlier tests, they obtained a number of important opinions and remarks, and now they have to implement appropriate changes based on them.
- However, devs at Steel Balalaika also have good news for fans. The devs announced the next open beta tests of the multiplayer mode, which will start on November 12th.
- Additionally, October is supposed to be filled with publication of new video materials and information about the game.
It's worth noting that when announcing the delay, the devs did not provide an exact new release date. They limited themselves to a general statement that the game will debut next year. Since the current delay is due to the need to implement changes after previous tests, we can assume that the upcoming open beta will also be an opportunity for the devs to get feedback on what else needs improvement. Therefore, until it is finished, the creators will not be able to predict exactly how much more time Broken Sword will spend in development.
Many strategy fans are waiting for the game, as it is seen as the spiritual successor to the iconic World in Conflict and the popular Wargame series. The first open beta organized in February was very popular - an activity record of 9408 concurrent players was achieved on Steam while the beta was available.
