Rooted Trailer; Survival Game Inspired by The Last of Us
A trailer for Rooted, a survival game inspired by The Last of Us, was shown at gamescom 2022.
During the Future Games Show presentation, which is part of the gamescom fair a trailer for the project Rooted, a survival action game heavily inspired by The Last of Us series, was shown.
- The game is coming exclusively to PC and will be available on Steam. In further plans, the developers also have ports to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
- Headlight Studio is responsible for the project.
- The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.
- The release is planned for early 2024.
Rooted will take us to the year 2100. A war with the use of biological weapons has led to the collapse of civilization and the death of most of humanity. Over time, nature has cleared some parts of the Earth of contamination, enabling the survivors to stay there without protective measures.
In Rooted we will observe the events from a camera placed behind the character's back. During the game we are supposed to collect resources in order to expand the base. To achieve this, expeditions to dangerous areas, inhabited by both flesh-and-blood enemies and aggressive machines, are to be necessary. We will be able to play through all of this solo or in co-op.
The devs intend to raise some of the funds through Kickstarter. The fundraiser was launched yesterday and the developers have already managed to raise the 20% of the minimum target, which is set at 60 thousand euros.
The game's product card has already appeared on Steam, so we got to know its minimum system requirements.
