New Game by NiOh Devs to Mix Dark Souls, Assassin's Creed and Ghost of Tsushima
Barely three months ago, we experienced the rather problematic release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty from Team Ninja. The latest leaks suggest that the studio's next game may be coming out sooner than expected.
Citing information received from Internet user SoldierDelta, a popular industry insider known as TheSnitch reported details about Team Ninja studio's next game - Rise of the Ronin. They indicate that the game will supposedly be a mix of solutions known from several popular series.
A handful of rumors
The latest game from the Japanese studio is expected to rely on gameplay combining elements of Ghost of Tsushima and Assassin's Creed, as well as Dark Souls. From the last mentioned item Rise of the Ronin will reportedly also borrow a distinctive manner of narration, based on extended descriptions of items.
Among the game's features we also find:
- side quests structured like in Ubisoft games;
- several difficulty levels;
- skill trees and "techniques";
- romance plots;
- quality and performance modes.
The leak is accompanied by a handful of screenshots, which you can see here.
Imminent release
A rather big surprise seems to be the alleged release date of the game, scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. This would mean that Team Ninja's latest work will hit store shelves less than a year after the release of its previous major game.
The coming months will verify whether these reports will prove true. We can only hope that the new title from the Japanese developer will not share the fate of the controversial Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty from early 2023.
