Rise of the Ronin Video Explains How Player Choices Affect Storyline. „Platinum” Won’t Be Easy to Get
Developers from Team Ninja, in a new video, talked about the choices we will make in Rise of the Ronin and their consequences. Moreover, we learned about the game's trophy list.
The premiere of the samurai action RPG Rise of the Ronin is just around the corner. On this occasion, the Team Ninja studio is providing us with more game materials as part of the YouTube series Behind The Scenes. This time, the devs took into account how our decisions will affect the ongoing story.
Story driven by allies
The plot in Rise of the Ronin won't be linear, and the system of bonds we establish with our companions will be crucial to its course.
- Our choices, including whether we will follow the path of the shogunate or, on the contrary, will have an influence on them.
- Interestingly, choosing a given path or inappropriate selection of allies may make other companions hostile towards us, and during the game, they will turn from friends into opponents.
- The narrative choices and decisions regarding alliances will be complex, aiming to motivate players to replay Rise of the Ronin due to the game's setting in a civil war.
Additionally, the developers told us a bit about the key characters. One of them is a woman with the pseudonym Twin Blade, who grew up with the main character. Another comrade in arms - at least temporarily - will be Ryoma Sakamoto, based on a historical figure.
"Platinum" in Rise of the Ronin won't be easy
It's worth noting that a list of trophies from Rise of the Ronin has already been shared. From a brief analysis, it appears that platinum trophy will require some effort from players.
- The game - including the "platinum" - has 51 trophies to unlock.
- Many achievements require us to finish tasks spread across the open world.
- Many trophies are associated with collectibles.
- It's worth noting that one of the PSN trophies will demand that we complete a specific quest on a difficulty level other than the standard one.
