Returnal Launches on PC; This PS5 Exclusive Doesn't Forgive Mistakes
In a few hours, PC owners will get their own version of the well-known PS5 game Returnal. The title, available on Sony's console from 2021, will appear on Steam and EGS later today.
In 2021, Returnal, an action game with roguelike elements, developed by Housemarque, debuted on PS5. The game managed to win numerous industry awards. The British Academy of Motion Picture Arts awarded it, among other prizes, for best game, as well as for sound, music and leading role.
The premiere of the PC edition of Returnal on Steam and on Epic Games Store will take place at 4 p.m. CET. If, on the other hand, you would prefer to read reviews before purchasing it, in order to assess whether you will like it, you will have to wait until 5:00 pm, as only then will the first reviews appear online. Just a reminder that the PS5 edition received an average rating of 86/100 on Metacritic (based on 115 texts).
Death does not equal defeat
Returnal tells the story of an astronaut named Selene, who, after crashing on an unknown shape-shifting planet, must fight for survival. We are dealing here with completely different mechanics than those present in similar game, as the events play out in a loop, and death is an integral part of the game and does not mean losing the game. After each death, the heroine returns to the changing world with new skills and equipment to help her achieve her goal.

In addition to solo gameplay the title also offers a cooperative mode, enabling you to complete the entire journey together with another player.. Using a device called Chronosis, we can invite a friend or a random person to play and together explore the world and fight enemies.
It should be noted here that our companion will control their own character, as each heroine comes from a different series, so she has different skills and equipment, which diversifies the entertainment in an interesting way.
An interesting element of the game is also Sisyphus Tower, which is a challenge focusing mainly on combat. The player climbs the levels, encountering old and new threats, as well as acquiring unique items. The tower is divided into individual stages, and each of them consists of 20 floors filled with enemies.
