Released this year, Returnal won the hearts of players and reviewers, but we haven't heard much about it since the launch. This may change soon, which is heralded by a screenshot shared by Housemarque on Twitter - it shows a rock formation in an unknown location. The footage is accompanied by the caption: "Atropos...?". Fans are expecting an announcement of a DLC or another update to the game.

One of the developers involved in the work on Returnal confirmed that the studio is indeed working on new content. His post reads: "We filmed something really amazing today. Hope we get to share more soon!". The best opportunity to officially unveil the DLC seems to be at the upcoming The Game Awards 2021, which will take place on December 9.

Returnal launched on April 30, this year exclusively on PlayStation 5.
