Resident Evil 2 with Denuvo security

The PC version of Resident Evil 2 Remake, which debuts on sale at the end of January, will have Denuvo security features which are hated by players. Here we go again.

Completely refreshed version of Resident Evil 2 was announced in August 2015. The title is a rightful remake of the second installment of the 1998 zombie-biotechnology horror series, which was created from scratch by one of the in-house development studios of Japanese company Capcom. The awaited title will be available for sale on January 25th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as on PCs. Unfortunately, the PC edition of the game will have the hated DRM security created by Denuvo. This information has been posted on the official game’s page on Steam.

For those who follow the situation in the industry, Denuvo's presence in Resident Evil 2 should not be a big surprise. Despite the negative opinions of players and problems resulting from the use of this DRM solution, which are confirmed in tests, Capcom relentlessly implements it in every title it releases. For example, the upcoming fifth edition of the Devil May Cry will also have them. Fans of the series can now only count that developer will remove the system after its current version has been broken by hackers, which usually happens very quickly after the release of games that use it.
