Jack Black starts a gaming YT channel, hits it big
Famous actor and musician Jack Black has launched a gaming channel on YouTube, aiming to beat Ninja and PewDiePie.
Jack Black is undoubtedly one of the most popular Hollywood stars, all thanks to his charisma and approachable appearance. The talent of the American can be admired both in movies and on stage during the performances of the rock band Tenacious D, of which he is a vocalist and guitarist. Recently Black decided to test himself in another field, namely recording videos on YouTube about games. Jablinski Games, as his channel is called, was created on December 21. On the same day, he released a trailer, lasting just under half a minute, on which the musician and actor threatens to be bigger than Ninja (who recently boasted that he earned almost $10 million for playing Fortnite) and PewDiePie. It has to be admitted that he is on the good way to achieve this.
The short Jablinski Games trailer has already been watched by almost 9 million people. Based on it alone, Black won one million subscriptions in seven days, for which he did not omit to thank in a separate film (which exceeded 8 million views). It was only last Friday that the first fully-fledged production was released on the channel, in which Jack and his son Sammy visit the Pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, where you can see machines from the 1940s, 1930s and even the 20s (although the device from the latter period has little in common with gaming, as it only shows a film from Jack Dempsey's boxing match against Georges Carpentier). The footage can be seen below.
The movie from Pinball Hall of Fame met with a very warm reception from the YouTube community (the number of thumbs up exceeded 627 thousand and the number of views is approaching 5 million), which gave the channel an even more "kick". Jablinski Games should soon reach three million subscriptions.
The whole initiative is said to be the idea of Black's son. The actor and musician communicated it in a characteristic, humorous way:
I just want to clarify that there is no production behind this,” Black wrote. “This is all my son. He’s holding me hostage (…)… Help...
The viewers, however, have no objection to Black remaining in captivity for a little longer. Many people are interested in more videos to be published on the account of Jablinski Games. They are to be reselased every Friday.
It is worth remembering that this is not the first direct contact between Jacek Black and video games. Earlier we could see him in the main role in the unusual action game Brutal Legend. Additionally he lent his voice in the adventure game Broken Age and the video game adaptation of Peter Jackson's King Kong.
