Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 Will Get Free Next-gen Upgrades
Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 will get improved versions for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Owners of the original versions of the titles will receive the upgrades for free.
Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2, 3 and VII will be released in an enhanced version on current-gen consoles - PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The exact release date is unknown. It is known, however, that everyone who already owns the games on PS4 or Xbox One will receive the improved edition completely free of charge.
When the patches are released on consoles, they will also arrive on PC. For this platform, owners of the original titles will also be able to upgrade for free.
At this point not much is known about the improvements. It is only confirmed that they will include the graphical layer. Sample screenshots presenting improved versions of the games can be seen below.
