Replays Now Available in Overwatch
Three years after the launch, Overwatch has got a replay system. So far it is available only on PC, on test servers. Soon, however, it will also appear on consoles.
Overwatch fans have reason to be happy. Three years after the launch of the title, the creators decided to put in the game a system of replays. Replays are available now on the Public Test Server on PC. Soon they will also be coming to the consoles. You could say it's better late than never. However, we must admit that the new functionality really is something. Replays can be viewed from any observation point, from the perspective of the first or third person, or from the bird's eye view.
Replays will be available in a special tab in the player profile. Inside, we will find the recordings of last 10 matches played in all modes except the tutorial and the training area. Saved replays are to be reset when new updates are released.
The devs have also provided a small tutorial on how to use the replay system. All keyboard shortcuts and comments can be found here. In the future, the devs may be tempted to add the possibility of exchanging replays with friends. Recall that some time ago Overwatch was enriched with the Workshop - a powerful tool for developing custom game modes. A new map, Havana, has also been released recently. The title is still being developed, so players shouldn't complain about boredom, especially since the production celebrates its third birthday.
