Have you ever heard a story of Baba Jaga? She is a mysterious witch, mostly perceived as an evil, powerful old woman. Reka promises to tell her story, seen through eyes of a young girl, her student. The game was released today in early access. Prepare for mysterious world of magic and spirits. Some people would like to experience it with friends. Will the game feature multiplayer? Will you be able to have adventures with friends in coop? Let’s answer these questions.
Reka – Multiplayer and Coop Explained
Some games are ideal to complete with friends, others not so much. In the case of Reka, it seems that developers decided that the second is true. On the official Discord, we can read that:
Is REKA multiplayer?
REKA won't be multiplayer. Our witchy game offers a deep atmospheric experience with housebuilding and exploration elements. We feel this theme is best suited for solo play.
As you can see, you will not be able to play Reka with friends. Of course, if the demand will be high enough, developers might reconsider. In one of the posts on Steam regarding coop, one of the creators answered that while this feature is not planned, they take into consideration community’s requests. So, who knows? Maybe there is a chance. However, don’t count on it anytime soon.
What about other platforms? Will Reka be available on consoles? The answer is not so clear in this case. However, we explain it in our separate article.
