Red Dead Online Experiences Attack of Protesting Clowns
Red Dead Online players have decided to protest against the poor post-release support for this title. Users dressed up as clowns argue that their characters might as well look the way they already feel.
IN A NUTSHELL:
- Seven months have passed since the last update with new content for RDO;
- Some players feel frustrated and protest, disguising themselves as clowns in the game.
Seven months have passed since the release of the last patch to Red Dead Online, offering a significant portion of new content - the so-called Moonshiners update. A large group of players feel frustrated by how poorly the title is supported by the developers from Rockstar Games. Some of them decided to protest... disguised as clowns.
“Since we’re all clowns for believing we’ll get an update, it’s fitting that we dress up as them in-game too," argues the moderator of Red Dead Online's Discord channel (via PCGamesN).
The result are funny videos and scenes, depicting troops of clowns going somewhere together or trying to find something to do.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will get a patch?
Interestingly enough, it looks like Red Dead Redemption 2 - and hence also Red Dead Online - will actually receive a patch today. Players indicate that the game files on Steam are being updated. It's not known what changes will be made (developers haven't mentioned any patch on the game page yet, and there is no information about it on Steam), but some users already indicate that the best they expect is... an even bigger disappointment.
"Game files are being updated on steam AND the Tuesday update tomorrow... for the first time in a long time I can say for certain with no doubts that the disappointment I will feel tomorrow morning is going to be 20x worse than usual," wrote EternalSymere in yesterday's entry on Reddit.
Red Dead Online is the online game mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
