$120 for Ready or Not Alpha Access; Gameplay Footage Available
The spiritual successor to the iconic S.W.A.T. series, Ready or Not from Void Interavctive, has reached alpha phase. Buyers of Supporter Edition could test it. Thanks to them numerous gameplay videos appeared on the web. It seems that there is a lot to look forward to.
If you've been playing S.W.A.T. you'll be happy to know that its spiritual successor, Ready or Not from Void Interavctive, is currently in alpha phase. This version of the game could already be tested by those who purchased its Supporter Edition (which costs 119.99 dollars - due to the lack of Steam keys, however, it is temporarily unavailable). Thanks to them, at the end of last week - that is, after the expiry of the NDAs - gameplay videos from Ready or Not began to appear on the Internet. Below you can find two examples - there are many more waiting for you on YouTube.
Most of these videos have one thing in common - a positive reception by players and viewers. Under each gameplay that I found, comments from Internet users delighted with what they saw are a significant majority. Players praise the sound design and interestingly designed maps, while also complaining a bit about the AI - although they also note that the computer can pull off some really clever maneuvers. It's no coincidence that many are calling Ready or Not the fifth instalment of S.W.A.T..
Unfortunately, we still don't know when the official release will take place. Early Access on Steam should begin in 2022, after which the actual launch will take place. It's hard to say how much time Ready or Not will spend in Early Access. Nevertheless, it seems that Void Interavctive knows what it's doing and players have something to look forward to.
