Rainbow Six Siege With 50 Million Players
The tactical co-op online shooter Rainbow Six Siege, which debuted in 2015, has achieved another success. Ubisoft announced that since its launch the title has attracted a total of more than 50 million players.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege debuted in December 2015. Despite the problems at launch, thanks to the commitment of the developers and the publisher, within a few years the title became one of the most popular online shooters on the market. As we reported a few weeks ago, the game continues to earn its living through microtransactions, breaking new records of revenue, which, according to the latest data, has already reached over 1 billion Euro. Ubisoft has just announced with pride that since the release, a total of 50 million players have had played the game. This is undoubtedly an extremely important moment in the history of the French work, which guarantees its constant support in the coming years.
In August 2017 Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege celebrated winning 20 million players, in April 2018 it was already 30 million, and in February, this year, 45 million. This means that in six months the title has attracted more than five million new people. We should add that Ubisoft does not plan to develop any continuation in the near future. According to the developers' announcements, they are currently focusing on the constant expansion of the number of playable operators (the target is to be over a hundred). Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege is now available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will also be available on the upcoming next-generation platforms, debuting most likely in the first months of their sale.
