Ragdoll Continues to Annoy Helldivers 2 Players. Developers Show Plans for Enormous DSS Station
Helldivers 2 players are still unsatisfied with how the ragdoll works, even after the improvements so far. Perhaps the plans for a large space station will be a solace for them.
Arrowhead Game Studios regained the trust of players after recent changes, but fans still have some reasons to complain. Just take a look at the survey regarding ragdoll in Helldivers 2 , which still annoys the players sometimes.
The problems with this system were most widely reported right after the debut of Escalation of Freedom, as the enemies introduced at the time had a tendency to, let's call it, catapult players or play an endless game of ping-pong. Both opponents (including the infamous tentacles) have been nerfed, but the complaints about the ragdoll did not end, as shown by the latest developer survey.
Over 86,000 HD 2 Discord users voted, and only 15% believe no changes are needed. Although there are even fewer extreme opponents of the current system, over 39% of respondents claim that ragdoll is at least "sometimes too much". More people here have a problem with the Automatons, although Terminids also give the players a hard time.
Of course, this is still quite a modest sample, limited only to Discord users. Nonetheless, this shows that the creators will have to make some corrections, although probably not too big. Ragdoll can be annoying, but Helldivers 2 is one of those games where this system leads to many funny and memorable situations (even if it's a worm tentacle sending the player into low orbit).
In other news: creators of HD2 showed the plans for a large, democratic DSS station, which in some time will support the forces of Super Earth in the fight against the enemies of Democracy. For now, the soldiers are close to achieving their second goal, which will bring them closer to building this structure: they must hold the planet Turing for another 24 hours.
