The popular battle royale game PUBG (Playerunknown's Battlegrounds) and MMO simulator War Thunder will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. When can we expect the release?

- Performance: War Thunder - 60 fps; PUBG - up to 60 fps and 30 fps on XSS.
Recently we have been regularly hearing about planned versions of many more or less famous games for next-gen consoles. Some popular online game have recently joined this group, namely PUBG(Playerunknown's Battlegrounds) and War Thunder. The creators of the battle royale revealed that owners of game versions for current-gen consoles can expect a free upgrade, and the progress linked to an account will be easily transferred to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. War Thunder, on the other hand, uses the free-to-play business model game, so the upgrade does not apply to it, but it is worth mentioning that with the game's debut on next-gen consoles we will receive an extensive "New Power" update, which will bring a lot of technical changes.
The Dagor Engine powering War Thunder willbe released in a new version, which will improve the visuals in all respects. There will be even small effects of grass destroyed by tanks or clouds pierced by planes. The game will also support Nvidia's DLSS image reconstruction technique, which significantly improves performance, usually at the low cost of limited image quality reduction on GeForce RTX cards. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are expected to run in native 4K at constant 60 fps. As far as PUBG is concerned, unfortunately, no resolution was given for the new consoles, but the game is expected to offer up to 60 fps in performance mode with the exception of Xbox Series S (only 30 fps in this case). Incidentally, the description of the PlayStation 5 edition mentions possible small frame drops - there is a reason for the "up to" part.
Moreover, PUBG and War Thunder players from all hardware platforms will be able to compete with each other thanks to the cross-play feature. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds will debut on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on the day of their launch, i.e. 10 and, depending on the country, November 12 or 19, 2020 respectively. No specific dates have been set for Gaijin Entertainment's game, but new versions of War Thunder, along with the announced update, are due to be released in mid-November this year.
