PlayStation 5 consoles have received a new software update. It is numbered 21.01-03.10.00 and offer really only one feature - improving the overall system performance. Although the list of changes is not particularly impressive, the update itself weighs quite a lot. It requires downloading slightly more than 900 MB. Downloading the necessary data should start automatically after booting the console.
So far it's hard to say to what extent the new update actually affects PlayStation 5's performance, but it is already known that it may cause some problems with sound (via Game Informer). If this happens to you, try restarting your console and bringing it back online.
