Sony has revealed a list of games that will be made available to all PlayStation Plus (including Essential) subscribers in May. From May 7, subscribers will be able to add four games to their collections.

PS Plus Essential for May 2024

  1. EA Sports FC 24 (PS4 and PS5 versions) plus Ultimate Team Starter Pack (a package with 11 non-exchangeable players plus one icon loaned for seven matches)
  2. Ghostrunner 2 (PS5)
  3. Tunic (PS4 and PS5)
  4. Destiny 2: Lightfall (PS4 and PS5)

You will be able to add EA Sports FC 24 to your account until June 17. In the case of the remaining three games, you will have to hurry, as they will only be available until June 3rd.

The new set of games is solid. Electronic Arts' football games are always very popular, and the latest one (which is the first installment without the FIFA acronym in the title) was very warmly received.

Ghostrunner 2 is a cyberpunk action game by One More Level, focusing on precise acrobatics and lightning-fast fights in first-person perspective. The game got lower scores than the first part (we gave the sequel 8/10), mainly due to not enough new solutions, but as part of the PS Plus collection it is definitely worth attention.

Tunic is a charming action adventure game inspired by the early installments of The Legend of Zelda series. The Nintendo series will never come to PlayStation consoles, but Tunic is definitely the best among similar titles.

The list ends with Lightfall, which is the worst received expansion for Destiny 2. On its own, this DLC is definitely not worth purchasing, but making it available as part of the PS Plus subscription will allow fans to catch up on the plot before the release of The Final Shape expansion in June, which is intended to be the culmination of the story that began a decade ago with the first Destiny.
