PS Plus for February 2024 Includes New Shooter and Two Challenging Games
In February 2024, PS Plus Essential subscribers will be able to play a debut FPS from Square Enix, a quirky production about rollerblading and shooting, as well as a soulslike set in an alternate version of Paris.
Sony has revealed the games that will be available in all versions of the PlayStation Plus service at the beginning of this month. As usual, we are talking about three titles that subscribers of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium can add to their PSN accounts from February 6 to March 4 this year. I will mention that to play the titles from PS Plus that you have added to our collection, you must have an active subscription - at least in the cheapest option (Essential).
You can buy PlayStation Plus here.
PS Plus Essential for February 2024
- Foamstars (PS4/PS5).
- Rollerdrome (PS4/PS5).
- Steelrising (PS5).
Foamstars stands out as the main attraction of the February PS Plus offer. This multiplayer third-person shooter from Square Enix will be available on Sony's service on the day of its release.
Fans of original and slightly unconventional games should be satisfied with the inclusion of the action game Rollerdrome on the list. It combines roller skating and doing tricks... with shooting. The high scores for this title on OpenCritic (with an average of 80/100 based on 98 reviews) suggest that we are certainly not dealing with a crap game. However, it should be noted that this title is quite challenging.
The February offer concludes with a souslike from Spiders studio - Steelrising, set in an alternative version of Paris during the French Revolution. While it may not measure up to FromSoftware's games, the discussed title still offers a solid option for genre fans.
Spider-Man 2 for Valentine's Day
I still have something for you. Sony has prepared quite a surprise for all PS Plus Premium subscribers on the occasion of the approaching Valentine's Day - or at least let's assume that's the reason.
Starting from February 6, they will have the opportunity to try out a 2-hour trial version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Trophies and progress will transfer if players choose to purchase the full game.
Furthermore, a short video related to the Spider-Man brand was recently posted on Sony's social media. Is Insomniac Games getting ready to announce DLC for the second installment? We'll find out soon enough.
