PS Plus Collection Would Take up Tons of Storage on PS5
The SSD used in PS5 is fast, but it is criticized for low capacity. The players have checked to see whether it can store all the PS4 hits available in PS Plus Collection.
As the amount of storage required for a single game increases, just 825GB of total storage capacity on the PS5 seems to be a rather modest amount. Reddit user darealdsisaac has decided to calculate how much space will be taken up by all Playstation 4 game available in PS Plus Collection.
Assuming that the hits selected by Sony will "weigh" as much as on current-gen devices, the whole collection will require 794.96 GB. However, it is not known how much space will be occupied by the operating system with Astro's Playroom preinstalled. In addition, the size of the installation files for these games may change if we decide to modify them to improve the gaming experience.
List of titles with sizes:
- God of War - 45 GB;
- The Last of Us: Remastered - 47 GB;
- Uncharted 4: End of Thief - 63 GB;
- Battlefield 1 - 110 GB;
- Monster Hunter World - 49 GB;
- Fallout 4 - 26.2 GB;
