Riot Games has released a new video from Project L, a 2D fighting game that will pit characters from the popular MOBA League of Legends against each other.
- The video confirmed player speculations that in Project L we will fight with two teams of two players.
- One player in each team is expected to control the on-screen character, while the other will wait his turn outside the frame until their partner finds the right moment to hand over control.
- However, there will also be a solo play option, where we will control both characters in a team. The player will then be able to face another lone user or a human duo.
- Before the start of the game, each team will be able to adjust the playing style of its characters using the so-called Fuse system, which offers additional abilities. For example, one of the available options will enable the team to make two assists in a row instead of one. If our choice turns out to be wrong, we can change it before the next match.
Recall that Project L is heading exclusively for PC. The game will use a free-to-play model. At the moment Riot Games is not ready to say when we can expect the game's release.
Playable version of Project L, which offers four characters, will be made available at the Evo 2023 tournament, which will take place on August 4-5, this year. That's also when we should see some new video footage.
