Path of Exile 2 early access is one of the most popular games on Steam right now. If you look at SteamDB, you will see that the game is among the top ten titles with the biggest player base. If you are one of the people who decided to buy this hack’n’slash, you can have some questions (we have a guide to answer many of them). While the title is already rich in content (and it’s still updated), some features can be difficult to understand at first. One of these mechanics is Power Charges. So, today we will talk about how to get them and what to use them for.

Power Charges in PoE 2 Explained

You must remember that Power Charges themselves don't do anything, and you must have the proper skill to use them. It seems thet the most popular one is Charged Staff, essential for many monk builds. It works in a very simple way – it consumes all Power Charges to infuse your Quarterstaff with electricity. It grants additional lightning damage to attacks as long as the spell is active.

But where to get Power Charges? In theory, it is not difficult. You just have to perform certain actions equipped with compatible skills, for example Siphoning Strike or Profane Ritual. One of the passive skills, Resonance, allows you to get Power Charges instead of Frenzy Charges.

If you are lucky, your equipment can also boost your gaining of Power Charges. Look for proper stats. Among all of the items, at least two unique armors are well equipped to do this job – Redflare Conduit and Voll's Protector. They give you a chance to get one Power Charge on hit (or critical hit).
