Popular WoW guild is ending its career due to constant DDoS harassment. Only Blizzard's help could save them
OnlyFangs is officially going out of business. Numerous bot attacks on guild members are to blame.

In recent months, World of Warcraft has been dealing with waves of cheaters and bots, which negatively affected the fun for the remaining players. Lately, bans have been given to up to 12 thousand dishonest users from the Chinese server, but as NetEase notes, there is still a long way to go to fix all these issues.
How many more people will suffer in the meantime? It turns out that quite a lot. One of the most iconic guilds in WoW fell victim to these problems.
"It's a terrible ending, but that's the ending we got"
Anyone familiar with Blizzard's MMO community has likely come across the name OnlyFangs. We are talking about a competitive guild that brings together the best WoW players to collectively face the challenges of the Classic Hardcore mode. The rules of hardcore mode are simple: if a character dies, we lose it forever.
OnlyFangs has grown to become one of the most iconic (and well-organized) WoW fan groups. Unfortunately, every adventure eventually ends - for guilds, this may not always be due to the members' initiative. Players belonging to OnlyFangs recently fell victim to DDOS attacks.
The abbreviation DDOS refers to organized bot attacks on computer systems, thus hindering the normal work of network services. Sodapoppin, one of the most recognizable members of OnlyFangs, announced the end of the guild's activities via Discord.
So many of us died but we still have people that can play. Regardless though, I don't feel comfortable dragging people through getting world buffs, flasks, and consumes, etc., just to raid with the anxiety and probably the actuality of just being DDOSd again and dying. So with that, I'd expect OnlyFangs is over (...). It's a terrible ending, but that's the ending we got.
- Sodapoppin
Soda believes that such a turn of events also has its positive side, as it allowed him to appreciate anew everything that the guild members have built together. The only way for OnlyFangs to fully recover would be Blizzard's intervention and providing protection against similar attacks - unfortunately, the player doesn't believe in this scenario.
In the meantime, fans are grieving the guild's loss in their own way, believing it was the reason many players became interested in the modern classic mode. Without a similar organization, there is a high chance that the servers will become "dead" again, at least until Blizzard addresses the issue of cheaters.
Hardcore is basically dead unless we get DDOS protection or rollbacks when it happens. Onlyfangs brought a ton of attention and players into hardcore WoW. Servers will be ghost towns without things like this.
Nobody hates WoW more than WoW players. So frustrating that wow players try to ddos streamers that are literally keeping the game alive and relevant for them. They don't understand how stupid what they are doing really is.
Whether we want it or not, OnlyFangs - at least temporarily - stops to exist. Did you belong to this guild? Do you have any memories associated with it?
