Daniel Ahmad - a verified analyst working for Niko Partners - is the source of this information. The said company specializes in the study of the gaming market in Asia.
Ahmad says that Sony is targeting a late 2022 release, but doesn't rule out it being delayed until 2023 due to issues with availability of parts. Still, there is a good chance of avoiding any delays, as the conglomerate started preparing for the PlayStation VR2 debut as early as last February.
