PlayStation Plus Collection is Sony's Answer to Game Pass
PlayStation Plus Collection increases the value of our PlayStation Plus subscription by adding a dozen or so selected games from the PS4 that we can launch on PlayStation 5 without paying.
- Sony expands the offer of the PlayStation Plus subscription.
- PlayStation Plus Collection will give us access to selected games from PlayStation 4 on PlayStation 5 at no extra charge and no subscription fee.
PlayStation Plus Collection is a new service from Sony that will expand the offer of the subscription fee. PlayStation 5 owners paying for PlayStation Plus will be granted access to selected titles from PlayStation 4 at no additional charge on the day of PS5's release. Importantly, the subscription fee will not increase.
During the conference, Sony revealed the list of titles that will appear at the start of the service:
- God of War;
- The Last of Us: Remastered;
- Uncharted 4: A Thief's End;
- Battlefield 1;
- Monster Hunter World;
- Fallout 4;
- Final Fantasy XV;
- The Last Guardian;
- Ratchet and Clank;
- inFamous: Second Son;
- Days Gone;
- Bloodborne;
- Detroit: Become Human;
- Batman Arkham Knight;
- Mortal Kombat X;
- Persona 5;
- Until Dawn;
- Resident Evil VII: Biohazard;
At the moment we don't know if the list of games will grow with time. It is also unclear whether the selected games will remain in the service continuously, or whether Sony will rotate them like Microsoft in Game Pass.
