PlayStation App Gets an Overhaul Before the Launch of PS5
Sony has launched a new version of its PlayStation mobile app for Android and iOS devices. It offers a refreshed interface, native integration with PlayStation Store and extensive remote management capabilities for PlayStation 5.
Some time ago, Sony released a new design of PlayStation Store on PC in preparation for next-gen consoles. But there's more. The company has alsoprepared a refreshed version of a mobile PlayStation App. You can watch its video presentation below.
What does the new version of PlayStation App offer? Above all, a refreshed user interface that enables us to easily view what our friends are currently playing, what trophies we've recently won, the latest news from the world of PlayStation and details of recent games. The refreshed app also ensures seamless messaging to other PlayStation Network users, as well as organizing voice chats and events. Full integration with PlayStation Store is also a great convenience for many. The fresh options allow for seamless shopping in this store and remote management of the download of our digital games and expansions.
In addition to the aforementioned options, PlayStation 5 owners will also be able to remotely manage memory and launch games on Sony's upcoming console.
The new PlayStation App requires a mobile device with Android (version 6.0 or higher) or iOS (version 12.2 or higher). Unfortunately, as we read on ResetEra forum, not everyone can enjoy it at this point. If you still haven't received the relevant update, try reinstalling the application. If that doesn't help, you'll have to wait patiently.
