PlayStation 5 Pro With More Power; Specs Leaked
In a half-hour video, Paul, host of YouTube channel RedGamingTech, presents exciting information about the likely specifications of the PS5 Pro.
According to rumors from RedGamingTech, the new PS5 Pro will spoil the gamers. The console will receive a huge power boost compared to the standard PS5. The APU may be made using TSMC's 5/4 nm process, include an octa-core Zen 4 processor (announced to be significantly more than 3.6 GHz) and an integrated GPU based on RDNA 3 or 3.5 (2.7 GHz). The classic PS5 has a 3.5 GHz variable frequency CPU and a 2.23 GHz GPU.
Paul was tempted to assume that the APU in the PS5 Pro could have as many as 96 ROP units (Render Output Units). That's as much as 50% more than in the PS5. This would translate into a Pixel Fillrate of 214 gigapixels, for a much smoother gameplay experience.
As for the PS5 Pro's operating system memory, rumors report DDR5 integration (number unknown) and 16 GB OF GDDR6. There is also no information on the disk, it is possible that the SDD will be enlarged - the disk of the base version of the PS5 is already fast at 5.5 GB/s.
The PS5's total computing power is 10.28 TFLOPs - based on the specifications discussed, RedGamingTech predicts that the PS5 Pro could double that figure, offering as much as 23.04 TFLOPs.
In summary, the likely specifications look as follows:
Remember that the above reports are, at this point, pure speculation, unconfirmed by Sony. If it turns out to be true - there will be a really powerful console on the market. PS5 Pro will probably be the last hardware launch from Sony in this generation. The manufacturer's focus in the near future will certainly be on the development and promotion of the PlayStation 6.
