PlayStation 5 Is Getting An Official Reveal Tomorrow
Official PlayStation 5 announcement is coming tomorrow, Sony announced in a surprise tweet. The presentation is to „provide a deep dive into PS5’s system architecture, and how it will shape the future of games.”.
PlayStation 5 is getting officially revealed tomorrow, on March 18, at 9am PST (12pm EST), PlayStation announced earlier today in an official tweet. During the presentation, “PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny will provide a deep dive into PS5’s system architecture, and how it will shape the future of games.”
The announcement may come as a surprise – but shouldn’t. Microsoft went full steam ahead yesterday with the official presentation of Xbox Series X, revealing its full hardware specification, sharing videos highlighting console-defining features such as Quick Resume, and describing the new, cross-platform controller designed “for everyone.”
Additionally, Microsoft went on and invited some YouTube creators for a hands-on session with the company’s upcoming console. Even though the testing kit was an underpowered version of Xbox Series X, it allowed for testing the hardware’s most important features. The console could later be assembled from scratch by the YouTubers.
Sony’s response couldn’t be any different.
What the consoles have in common so far is the lack of a solid release date. Given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, that’s no surprise either. An analyst suggested that at least one of those next-gen consoles will be delayed to 2021.
