Playing These Races in Baldur's Gate 3 Will Use Most Unique Lines. One Race Definitely Dominates Over Others

We can tell in advance that the man wasn't even close to the podium.

Baldur's Gate 3 is based largely on the mechanics of a tabletop RPG, where the only limitation - apart from the rules set by the Game Master and the manual - is the players' imagination. That's why when creating our character, almost every detail will be significant in the actual gameplay, occasionally providing unique dialogue choices.

Nonetheless, in the case of the available races, it's hard not to notice that some of them have received more content than others. Which characters will have the most to comment on regarding the situation they are familiar with?

Everything for the Githyanki and nothing for the men

For research and curiosity purposes, a Reddit user known as ZaunKonigin created a graph showing the difference in reactivity to the environment between available races and subraces. You can immediately notice the difference in proportions.

As the post shows, the Githyanki race ranks first. The main character, with roots that reach the sky, can respond "in his own way" in 272 situations, without having any subrace. There is a huge disproportion here compared to an ordinary human being - the classic main character has only two unique dialogues.

Similarly, all types of half-elves have little influence on the world of Faerun. The combination of a human with a tall or wood elf doesn't even come close to twenty unique reactions - the situation is somewhat better when it comes to half-drows, also referred to as the "most despised race in the entire Forgotten Realms."

The reality of Faerun

When we come to grips with the incredibly high response rate in Githyanki, we can see that the other races remain more or less equal in terms of available content. The last exception here are all characters originating from the Underdark - namely drows and duergars.

The dark elves and dwarves are right behind the Githyanki, which unfortunately doesn't mean that Faerun looks upon them with a kinder eye. According to players who are commenting, the majority of the extra options stem mainly from racism towards characters with negative origins.

It is possible that ZaunKonigin will soon prepare similar graphs taking into account other statistics - such as the main character's classes or even companion campaigns.
