Players demand FF7 Rebirth mods. You have to be patient
FF7 Rebirth is available on PC. Unfortunately, the game does not have all features players would like to see. Perfect example is official mod support.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment of the FF7 remakes trilogy, was finally released on PC. Compared to the PS5 version, the game has received several technical improvements like DLSS (though not all players can see them due to DX12 error). However, on the list of novelties, you won’t find mod support.

FF7 Rebirth director, Naoki Hamaguchi, on mod support in FF7 Rebirth
Square Enix’s attitude to mods is complicated. This can be seen in a recent interview for Epic Games. FF7 Rebirth director, Naoki Hamaguchi, shared an opinion that might have been poorly received by players.
While the team has no plans for official in game mod support, we respect the creativity of the modding community and welcome their creations – though we ask modders not to create or install anything offensive or inappropriate.
Later, in the interview with AUTOMATON, Hamaguchi clarified the situation, expressing more positive and personal attitude towards mods. He assured that he didn't want to discourage people from installing mods. The developer also declared that he himself sometimes uses modifications.
As someone who plays games on PC, I sometimes use mods myself.
Mod support for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth explained
To sum up, Square Enix does not provide official mod support for FF7 Rebirth. However, this doesn’t mean that modifications won’t be created. Their installation and management are simply more difficult.
Right now, on the Internet you can find a mod for FF7 Rebirth that adds ultrawide support. It’s one of the first available modifications for this game. However, it is not finished, and the author is still working on it. Of course, in the future more projects will appear. You have to be patient and wait.
