The Delta Force series makes a comeback with a brand-new free-to-play installment. While it currently offers only multiplayer mode, with a solo campaign planned for release next year, the game is already gaining traction with a growing player base. Unfortunately, some gamers are facing crashes or error while others report stuttering and lags. Adding to that, discussions have emerged about the game's anti-cheat system, with some suggesting it may operate at a kernel level.

What is kernel level anti cheat?

The term “kernel-level” refers to a type of anti-cheat software that runs with high-level permissions within a computer's operating system. This means that it has access to a wider range of your PC files and can detect cheating activities that might otherwise go unnoticed by user-level programs. This kind of system is used in many online games, like for example Valorant, PUBG or Fortnite.

While kernel-level anti-cheat systems are designed to combat cheating, they also raise privacy concerns among players. When anti-cheat runs at the deepest level of your computer, it can see a lot of sensitive information. If it's not made right, it can even crash your PC or leave it open to hackers.

GTI Security in Delta Force

G.T.I. Security is the anti-cheat system used in Delta Force. It’s designed to catch cheaters and keep the game fair by monitoring things like third-party hacks, cheat injections, and other forms of game manipulation. It works by keeping an eye on players in real-time and can dish out penalties ranging from temporary suspensions to full-on bans.

There was a debate about whether it operates at a kernel level, but this has now been confirmed by Team Jade with their latest news. For more information, you can check what the developers are saying about the G.T.I. System. Regardless, players continue to report a significant number of hackers and cheaters since the game's release.
