Pink Screen Fix for Content Warning
If you want to give Content Warning a try but your eyes are burned by a pink screen, here you will find a potential solution for your problem.
If you ever wondered what being a Youtuber looks like but you’re too shy to upload anything, there are quite a few games that emulate just that. Recently we were struck by another one that mixes this silly experience with horror vibes of Lethal Company. Content Warning is a teamplay title that connects comedy with creeps in a tasty YouTube-like sauce. Even though the production is not very demanding graphically, as it follows its own art style, some people encounter visual glitches. It is nothing new that a problematic game shows a black screen and is stuck on it, yet Content Warning takes it to the next level and can present a pink screen instead. What to do about it? Let’s find out!
Fix for pink screen in Content Warning
We are used to a blue screen of death, black screens where nothing loads are also quite popular, but a pink one is rather uncommon. This, however, fits well in a not-so-serious atmosphere of Content Warning, which gained huge popularity by being not only a great game, but also thanks to a possibility to claim it for free. Sadly, the offer is now gone, yet the game is still very affordable at $8.
Getting back on tracks, there is a specific issue that doesn’t allow players to enjoy the title. The game is rendered with a pink hue, leaving only the contour of objects and HUD visible. This has been noticed by one of the developers who provided a reason for that – outdated or broken GPU drivers. There are two options in this situation:
- Download and install the latest graphics card drivers.
- If the first method doesn’t work - do a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers. There are third-party tools, like for example DDU, that can facilitate this.
Unfortunately, there is a chance that neither of these options will help in your case. Many fans who have encountered this issue are playing on a very dated or low-spec PC. If you are one of them, the only solution for the pink screen is to update your rig. Let’s hope that for you doing a simple, good ol’ driver’s update will do. Good luck!
