S-Game, a Chinese studio, ended a several-month silence about the game Phantom Blade Zero by releasing an atmospheric trailer, which also featured fragments of gameplay.

The trailer, prepared for the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Dragon, is designed in an anime style and depicts a battle between two evenly matched warriors who confront each other on a bridge on a rainy night. The last seconds of the video, showing Phantom Blade Zero in action, bring to mind FromSoftware's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

While we catch only a brief glimpse of the actual gameplay from the upcoming S-Game studio production, it's worth acknowledging that it looks fantastic in terms of audiovisual presentation, including the animation.

Additionally, via the X, the devs announced that Phantom Blade Zero will "soon" receive a playable demo. The test version, as announced last year, should provide around 30 minutes of fun.

We will probably receive more details during an upcoming State of Play event (or at a possible PlayStation Showcase). Let me remind you that the next one - which, in theory, will be devoted exclusively to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - is scheduled for February 6.

Phantom Blade Zero is being developed for PC and PlayStation 5. The game is set to feature a multiplayer mode without any microtransactions, alongside a 30-40 hour single-player storyline.
