Pharaoh: A New Era fans received the sizable update 1.5.0 from the developers today. Triskell Interactive announced that the fresh patch introduced a mission editor, new content for selected levels and quite a few bug fixes.
Pharaoh: A New Era - update 1.5.0
The biggest new feature brought by the update is the much-anticipated mission editor. In this mode the players will be able to create their own maps, as well as download those created by other users. All built maps are to be located in the "My Maps" tab.
The developers mention the possibility of creating a second tab to manage your maps more conveniently. The different steps are explained in the message, which appeared on Steam. Such a solution can guarantee many years of player activity in the remake of Pharaoh, and it would be a bullseye for the developers.
In addition to the mission editor, the update also brought new content in individual missions:
- in Dunqul Oasis, towers are now available;
- in Dakhla Oasis there were also jewelers.
In terms of fixing bugs, we will only cite a few items:
- the import/export limit for merchants' goods has been fixed;
- the upper range of years for events has been corrected;
- fixed the ending of battles;
- fixed pedestrians taking the longer route instead of using the shorter option;
- fixed alarms appearing when thieves hit a gold transport;
- repaired roads in flooded areas that were unusable again after flooding;
- added new hints during loading.
You can find the rest directly in the announcement from Triskell Interactive.
A further reminder Pharaoh: A New Era was released in February this year on PC via Steam and GOG. Remake of Pharaoh enjoys mixed reviews - so far on Valve's platform it has received more than 3,000 reviews, less than 70% of which are positive.
