Persona 6 Announcement Imminent? Atlus is Preparing New Projects
Atlus begins celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Persona series. On this occasion, the devs announced that within the next year they will reveal as much as seven new projects related to the popular series. Among them may be the anticipated Persona 6.
Japanese studio Atlus has begun officially celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Persona franchise, which was officially born on the original PlayStation in 1996. The developers announced that a total of 15 million copies of games from the series have been distributed to the players over the past quarter-century, which, in addition to the five main installments, have included numerous spin-offs such as Persona Dancing or Persona Q. The Japanese company has announced that within the next year, it will announce as many as seven new projects related to the series. Fans are convinced that almost certainly one of them will turn out to be the long-awaited Persona 6.
The first mysterious project will be announced this September and the last in the autumn of next year. Considering the previous announcements from the devs, we can expect that the projects will include not only new games (including more spin-offs or mobile titles) but also anime adaptations or anniversary concerts. Presence of Persona 6 on the list is very likely, especially if we remember that almost five years have passed since the Japanese release of Persona 5. Fans of the series certainly also quietly hope for remakes of older titles (in particular Persona 3), as well as further ports of games from the series to other consoles and PC.
